Colleen M. Haddow
Colleen M. Haddow serves as Partner of the Virginia office and is an experienced family law attorney and litigator. Colleen has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since 2006. Prior to joining DiPietro Family Law Group, Colleen was a Partner with a well-respected family law firm in Fairfax, Virginia.
She focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, spousal support, mediation and property settlement agreements. Colleen regularly appears throughout courts in Northern Virginia representing the interests of her clients. She takes a practical and economical approach to her cases and strives to meet the individual needs of each client. Colleen believes that thorough preparation and prompt responsiveness to a client are vital to the successful resolution of any case.
Colleen is actively involved in various legal activities. She is currently a member of the Fairfax Bar, the Family Law Section Chair for the Alexandria Bar Association, the Chair for the Young Lawyer’s Conference Annual CLE Program, a member of the Fifth District, Section, I, Disciplinary Committee for the Virginia State Bar, and a Member of the George Mason American Inn of Court. In 2013, she helped develop the Resolver Program in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court of the City of Alexandria, which won an Award of Merit from the Virginia State Bar. Colleen is also a past board member of the Northern Virginia Women’s Attorney’s Association, Fairfax Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Board, Northern Virginia Black Attorney’s Association, and Co-Chair for the 2014 Color of Justice Program (past Chair for the 2011 Color of Justice Program).
Colleen has been recognized for her expertise in Family Law by her peers. She has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers since 2010, named a Legal Elite in Family Law by Virginia Business Magazine, and received other awards in the field of family law.
Colleen graduated from George Mason University School of Law where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Civil Rights Law Journal and a member of the Trial Advocacy team. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University. In 2015, Colleen was co-named the UCM Adult Volunteer of the Year, which is an organization that provides support to individuals and families in need on the Route 1 Corridor of Alexandria, Virginia.
